Who we are
TAG (True Auto Genetics) runs this shop and decides how the information on this page is used. In data protection terms that makes us the controller.

What we collect, and why
When you place an order
To take an order and get it to you we collect:
- your name
- your email address
- your billing address, and your delivery address if it is different
- your phone number, if you give us one
- what you ordered and what it cost
- your payment reference for the bank transfer
- your confirmation that you are 18 or over, which is recorded against the order
- your IP address and browser details, which the site records automatically when an order is placed
We collect this because we cannot fulfil an order without it. The lawful basis is performance of a contract, and for the fraud and age checks it is our legitimate interest in selling only to adults.
When you message us
The contact form emails your message to us and also saves a copy inside the site, using a plugin called Flamingo. That copy holds whatever you wrote, plus the name and email address you put in the form. We keep it so we have a record of what was asked and what we answered. The lawful basis is legitimate interest.
When you browse
We do not run advertising trackers and we do not profile visitors. The small number of things this site does store are listed below.
Cookies and browser storage

None of these are used for advertising. The WooCommerce and WordPress cookies are needed for a shop to work at all, so there is no consent banner for them. If you block them the basket and checkout will not work.
Who else sees your information
- Our website host, Delivix (Glasgow), who runs the server that stores the site and its database, and Cloudflare, who carry the traffic to it.
- Our email providers, Resend and Google, who carry order confirmations and replies.
- Royal Mail, who need the delivery address to deliver.
- Our bank, if you pay by bank transfer. They see the payment, not your order.
- HMRC and other authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing.

How long we keep it
- Order records: 6 years from the end of the tax year the order falls in, because tax law requires it.
- Contact form messages and newsletter signups: 24 months, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Age confirmation on an order: for as long as the order record is kept, because it is part of it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold, correct anything wrong, delete it where we are not required to keep it, restrict what we do with it, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can also ask for your data in a portable format.
